"Well, at least I’m trying to do
my best so .. you can’t complain.”
"I wasn’t complaining either way."
Sam rolled her eyes, feeling herself closer to his body while she washed him off, “Well, then you might get spanked later for going against me,” Sassing at him, she scrunched her nose a bit and tugged a smirk on her lips.
"Don’t threaten me with a good time babe. I live for the chance to get spanked by you." Vance smirked at her and then he bit into his lower lip as he looked into her eyes. She was trying to get him riled up and it was certainly working. He couldn’t deny that fact.
"Oh do I?" Daisy rose an eyebrow, her lips inches away from his. Fraternizing with the crew-that’s exactly what she didn’t want to hear from anyone, especially Comstock and Fink-just more fuel against her to block what the Vox was really about. So she had to play her cards very carefully. She pursed her lips for a moment, as if she were thinking it over, with the gears turning in her head. "Understand that when it comes to matters of the heart, I am a hard woman to please. So for the first night…." she leaned in, as if to give him a kiss, "let’s take it slow." Daisy retracted her lips at the last second.
Vance smirked and then he bit into his lower lip as she leaned in towards in to kiss him. But then she did something unexpected and she pulled back from him, stopping her lips just short. A smile stretched onto his face and then he laughed softly as he looked into her eyes. "How slow are we talking here? Because I need a little something to know that you are really interested Daisy. You are a smart girl. I sincerely expect you to do your best play this to your advantage. I gotta make sure I am getting mine."
She eyed him through the slats of the fire escape. For the barest of a moment it seemed like he was inviting her to join him uptown. The dark gaze warmed and she smirked up toward him without responding immediately. It wasn’t until she told him to find something to do that she stood from her chair. Hands grasps onto the railing, even if it was a little hot from the sun beating on it, and she hoisted herself up the stairs to his level. The wind billowed her loose skirt with each step. “Well that sounds like a plan, Vance. Lucky bastards uptown must be keeping all the air conditioning to themselves, and the power. Greedy of them.”
"Yea. It does sound awfully greedy of them. You and I should slip uptown together, enjoy all of the free amenities that we can find."Vance smirked at her and then he opened up the grating that was underneath his feet. He climbed down the fire escape onto her floor and a smile stretched onto his face as he looked into her eyes. He didn’t think that she’d accept his offer, because they didn’t have that kind of relationship with one another, but it was fun to offer that opportunity. "What do you think about coming with me? You busy?"
